I am broken.
What is left of me is pieces. Pieces of something that once was whole.
Broken. Broken with my body, broken with my mind. My past, present, and future; My thoughts…
are all broken. Nothing about me is connected. Nothing about me is… Is…
Is.
But God IS, And He lives in me. This is what keeps me going. God lives in my heart- this is his home. Christs home. His throne room- his chambers. And the great thing about it is this: there’s no need to open up the curtains to let the Son shine in…for the curtain has already been ripped. Holy is the Lord God almighty who lives within me. I am pure… wow.
My body: Your temple. Jesus now lives in my life through the power of the cross. Despite my brokenness I find wholeness when I look to him. That is what I’m “about”. Can you here the sound of the trumpets? Neither can I…
..but I do know He’s already here- no need to wait.
Jesus is Lord and we are white as snow if we call on his name and seek him out in spirit in truth. That’s what I’m about. ….but sometimes I miss the mark. Often times.
Yes, as Luke 4:18-19 says, the Spirit of the Lord is indeed on me as he has annointed me to preach the Good News to the poor, he has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisioners, and recovery of sight to the blind. To release the oppreased and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
I do this because I once was poor in my brokenness, in my shackles, in my blindness.
But freedom has come by his blood. I am washed away in the glory and beauty of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
I am a Church Army Evangelist (bearer of Good News) who is interested in the proclamation of Jesus, whether in my mouth or shoes, Worshiping the creator in the form of the trinity, …would you like to Join me???
